Tai Chi Dublin 2 – South William Street
“Know yourself. Do your best. Make a little progress everyday. Don’t overdo it.” (Master Jou Tsung Hwa)
I love this quote. The simplicity and gentleness of tai chi reflects some of the Eastern philosophies. It respects the body, so your first lesson will be learning to let go of your expectations, and make only a little progress every day. If you have been thinking about joining a tai chi class (or similar) for some time, you may be craving information, knowledge and movements. Your craving is very useful because it will motivate you to join a course and you will be full of enthusiasm. But you need to remember that Rome was not built in a day. Tai chi is not always going to be easy. So you’ll need to learn to take ONE STEP AT A TIME. Be patient. My courses are spread over 6 weeks to give you some time to see if you and your body really enjoy what you’re doing in class. At the end of the course, you should be able to answer the question: Is tai chi right for you? If it is, then you will be able to continue in the following courses which are continually organised and start building up your own daily practice. I will help you along the way, answering your questions, replying to your doubts and feedback, your concerns about your health and any difficulties practising at home, which you can ask me about in class or email me about in your own time. Slowly, you will be able to see the benefits for yourself and you will find your own tools to let tai chi transform your life.
